
Meet Your New Instructor, Megan!
Megan Eastman has recently joined the Pilates in The Grove team! Have you had a chance to take her class yet? Megan teaches Wednesdays at 12pm in Coconut Grove. If you haven’t gotten to sweat with her just yet, we asked her a few questions to help you all get to know her a little bit better!
Q: What’s your favorite thing to eat for breakfast?
A: An egg and banana pancake topped with fruit or peanut butter.
Q: I don’t leave home without my ______.
A: My Kiehls cactus flower and ginseng mist – a little spritz totally refreshes me after teaching or practice.
Q: If Joseph Pilates were alive today, what would you ask him or have him teach you?
A: I would ask him if I could teach him a class so I could get his feedback.
Q: What qualities do you admire in a teacher?
A: A teacher that’s able to connect to the students in the room.

Q: When was your Pilates A-HA moment?
A: There wasn’t one moment. It took a couple months of intention and commitment to see and feel the change in my body.

Q: How has Pilates changed your body? Your outlook?
A: It has changed my body by bringing integrity into my movement. It has given me the tools to refine my alignment so that I can move smarter.

A: Maybe not an expert because the learning is non stop but i would say I’m pretty masterful at teaching yoga asana.
Q: On any given Saturday night, you will most likely find me at _______.
A: Helping my boyfriend second shoot a wedding or having dinner with friends.
Q: How would you describe your teaching style?
A: Precise and connected.
Q: What is the funniest thing you have ever heard in the studio?
A: I find just about everything funny. In fact, I may be an expert at it, but I can’t remember one exact thing.
Q: What has been your biggest teaching blunder?
A: Calling someone the wrong name for weeks until he finally told me I was mistaken. Please if I ever call you the wrong name, tell me asap and save me the embarrassment!
